01 — About me

Hi, I'm Younus — entrepreneur, founder & software engineer based in Frankfurt.

I grew up in Rajshahi — the mango city, the Padma river, and far too much time in front of a computer screen for a kid my age. After HSC at Rajshahi Govt Model School & College, I moved to Dhaka for my B.Sc. in Computer Science at Southeast University. That's where the serious building started.

Then I came to Germany for my Masters — studying Management & IT in Zwickau, AI & XR in Würzburg, and Software Engineering in Heilbronn. I stayed. Frankfurt became home.

Now I run Trip Begin (an OTA for flights and travel), Tourist eSIM (a global eSIM marketplace), and co-founded Cloudlax IT (a hosting & cloud platform). By evening: espresso, a book, or a boarding pass.

02 — Journey

A decade of building, breaking and shipping.

From Rajshahi to three German universities, building and shipping software independently from day one.

Experience

  1. 2022 — Now

Founder · Trip Begin · Tourist eSIM · Cloudlax IT

    Frankfurt, Germany

Founded Trip Begin (tripbegin.com) — a full OTA for flights, hotels and packages. Built Tourist eSIM (touristesim.net) — a global eSIM marketplace for travellers. Co-founded Cloudlax IT (cloudlax.com) — a hosting and cloud services platform.

  2. 2019 — 2022

    Independent Consultant & Software Architect

    Self-Employed · Remote · Europe & Asia

Self-employed software architecture and consulting for enterprise clients across Europe and Asia — ERP systems, finance, CRM, HR and payroll platforms, multi-GDS integrations (Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport). Relocated from Bangladesh to Germany during this period.

  3. 2016 — 2019

    Founder & Independent Developer

    Self-Employed · Dhaka, Bangladesh

  4. 2017 — 2022

    B.Sc. Computer Science & Engineering

    Southeast University · Dhaka, Bangladesh

Core CS fundamentals — algorithms, databases, networks, software engineering. Built my first real SaaS product in the final year.

  5. 2014 — 2016

    HSC · Science

Rajshahi Govt Model School & College · Rajshahi

Where it all started — Rajshahi, the river city. Physics, chemistry, maths, and a growing obsession with computers.

03 — Expertise

Four worlds I move between every single day.

My work sits at the intersection of enterprise software, travel technology and AI — and I'm equally at home in the codebase, the system design doc or the founder conversation.

Software Engineering

Full-stack web, APIs, SaaS platforms. TypeScript, Node, Python, React, Postgres.

04 — Enterprise Software

The unglamorous work I'm quietly proud of.

Finance, HR, operations, inventory — I've spent years building ERP-class systems for companies across Europe and Asia. Nobody talks about payroll engines at dinner parties, but this is the software that quietly keeps real businesses alive. I find that genuinely satisfying.

Enterprise software dashboards covering finance, CRM, HR and inventory modules

Finance & Accounting

GL, AR/AP, multi-currency, tax, audit trails, financial reporting.

CRM & Sales

Pipelines, lead scoring, quotes, contracts and customer 360°.

Helpdesk & ITSM

HR Management

Employee records, onboarding, attendance, performance reviews.

Payroll Systems

Country-aware payroll, payslips, statutory compliance, payouts.

Inventory & Warehouse

Stock, SKUs, barcoding, purchase orders, multi-warehouse ops.

05 — Travel Tech

How obsessing over airports built a career.

Every time I boarded a plane I started wondering how the booking system actually worked — the GDS behind the ticket, the markup logic, the commission waterfall, the mid-office holding it all together. Eventually I stopped wondering and just started building it. Now I know that world inside out.

Multi-GDS Integration

Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport (Galileo / Worldspan) — unified behind one normalized API.

Flight Search & Booking

07 — Life Outside Code

I build with code, but I live with curiosity.

Software is half my life. The other half is travel, books, long walks across Frankfurt, cafés in new cities, photography and conversations that stretch past midnight. Every product I build is shaped by the way I live.

A developer's desk: laptop with code, espresso, passport and boarding pass

Travel

30+ countries and counting. Travel is where most of my product ideas are born.

Coffee & Cities

Frankfurt cafés, Berlin weekends, long walks and slow espressos.

Books & Essays

Founder memoirs, systems thinking, philosophy. Always one tab, one book.

Photography

35mm look, street and travel photography — the world through a frame.

Discipline

Early mornings, gym, deep work blocks. Energy is the real productivity stack.

Music & Focus

Lo-fi, ambient, classic OSTs. Soundtrack for shipping at 2am.

10 — Vision

Code brought me here. Curiosity keeps me going. Travel taught me the rest.

I think the most interesting software comes from people who are curious about the world outside the screen. Travel, people, broken systems, unexpected connections — that's where the real ideas come from.
